Evan and I were demolishing our ceiling today and he had to take down an exit sign. Unfortunately it was still connected. I heard a sound then asked him if he was ok. He just looked at me with a blank stare. He was ok, but was just shocked.

I stole this graphic straight from the movie’s website here. I’m sorry. The movie is pretty cool though, it’s a documentary about these friends who make a car out of bikes and take it about 850 miles on a snowboarding adventure. I’ll sell the shirt at cost because I didn’t really make the image.

I went to the southside today to go to a junkyard to get a couple of switches for my windows on my car. Bothe driver and passenger side switches were broken. I called ahead and the junkyard said they had them. I then drove like an hour south to get to the place and they tell me I have to wait an hour for them to get the parts. Why couldn’t they have been doing this while I was waiting in the hellish traffic to get there! So I try to make the best of the situation and go to a little fried chicken/fish hut for lunch. While there, one woman was cussing out her boyfriend for playin’ her and another woman was surprised at my order for 10 wings and fries: “child, you got a small frame.” After returning, I got my parts, one of the two was definitely broken. Next time: e-bay.

I met up with my friends John and Elisabeth at The Two Way In bar near my house. It was pretty hilarious, there were like five other people in the bar and the jukebox was so loud you could barely carry on a conversation. As soon as the music stopped, we were all relieved to be able to talk without screaming. Then a totally drunk guy meanders over to the jukebox, but has trouble figuring the thing out. This went on long enough to give us hope, that is until the bartender helped him get his money in and the AC/DC crankin’.

So my girlfriend and I went to watch a meteor shower today. We drove about an hour and a half outside of Chicago to get away from the light pollution. The problem was once we got out there, there was no suitable place to gaze from. We found a place off the side of a tertiary road where we were between the road and a field. On the other side of the road were houses though. After watching for about an hour, we heard a couple of faint noises, then immediately there are truck headlights glaring right at us from across the street. So we got back in the car and drove away. I made sure to do a U-turn to see what the hell was going on. We saw an old man hunched over standing but also holding crutches off of the ground and standing in front of a wheelchair. So I’m thinking first, why was that guy standing if he has a wheelchair and crutches? Then, how did he get to his truck with all of those contraptions on his gravel driveway without causing a sound? We must have seemed strange parking across the street from his house and laying on the hood, but I don’t know why he felt he needed to out-do us like it was a creepy-being contest.
This is a 3 color flex print.

My girlfriend and I played a new sport today called shuffleskateboard. It’s where you roll on a skateboard and try to get as close without touching a cardboard box, but she thought it was more fun to just go fast into the cardboard box… This is the official t-shirt of the sport

Things got a little crazy moving back to Chicago, I no longer have the internet at home which makes this whole process a little harder. I just posted a whole bunch of shirts today though.
Pricing: These vendors charge different amounts depending on print, t-shirt color, and whether it’s for men or women. I originally wanted to have one price where I would make differing amounts depending on the shirt. I’m still trying to do that, but some dark t-shirts cost 19 dollars or 19.99 without me making any money whatsoever.

I went over to my friend Landon’s house to watch a movie today. Landon has a ridiculous collection of bad movies on VHS. The plan was to watch one about this guy who turns into a giant chicken and kills people in the ways people kill chickens. We ended up watching this movie of short films called “Nightmares.” One of the shorts had Emilio Estevez in it, where Emilio is a video game wizard who eventually gets to the 13th level of the game “The Bishop of Battle” Then this face comes out of the game and brings him back into the machine.

I flew back to Chicago today! I’ll miss the bay and it looks like I won’t be able to continue the “crazy people of San Francisco t-shirt series,” but am excited to be back home. Anyways, I flew southwest and Southwest has a first come first serve seating policy. I was pretty far at the back of the line but not last. As I walked to the back of the plane I saw this couple. The flight was full and I felt really bad for the poor person who had to sit there. Feels good to be back in the Midwest.

My friend Katie repurposes old paintings and attaches plaster faces that look like they’re coming out of the painting. She made a mold of my face and is gonna make me one. The plaster felt weird on my face and I couldn’t talk or move my face for 20 minutes.

I went to a few parties tonight. The first one was fun, but the last two were getting worse and worse. This was the sign the night was over. I walked out the door of the party and a girl had pulled her pants down and was peeing right on the stoop of the building. Gross! After talking to some friends I turn around to see a group of people sitting on the stoop. I felt bad for this girl that was closest to the urine and told her what had happened about a minute previous. She got up and had to wring the pee out of her dress. I laughed and took a picture and her friend got all mad at me! If it weren’t for me they would have had a few more good minutes steeping in the stuff so I feel like I had the license. Plus, no matter what anyone says, that’s pretty funny. Just minutes later the pee-er was making out sloppy with some dude. Double gross.

I’m having issues with my new t-shirt vendor. Apparently, I cannot specify transparent areas on shirts that are not white. It worked fine last week and now they “fixed” it. So for now I will be selling through both Cafe Press and Spreadshirt depending on the design. The point is, I spent my evening figuring all this stuff out and posting. So today’s shirt is fractal

This morning I saw a spider in my shower that looked like this. I got a tissue and jumped up with it in order to smash it, only I over estimated the height and force necessary to do so. This resulted in me jamming the hell out of my right thumb, and an inside-the-nail bruise. This was not a fun way to start the day.

I saw this bugged out guy on the street. First of all he was wearing a “I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry” shirt. Ok, also he was wearing glasses over sunglasses. But obviously the best thing about this guy are his antennas that he had sculpted with a bunch of little rubber bands and what I’m guessing is wax. There sure are a whole bunch of crazy people in San Francisco.

I rode in the critical mass today in San Francisco, and while riding I ran into a guy who I went to high school. He had just gotten married a day or two before and was riding an extra long bike with his new wife on the back. There was a cardboard “Just Married” sign on the back and a can rattling about.

I will now be selling through spreadshirt.com This shop allows me to do better, bigger prints with more options. And for print nerds, I can now print vector artwork in both flex and flock. (The flex print is flat and has a touch of shine to it like vinyl. The flock print feels soft and is slightly raised).
Also, the shirts are cheaper, so I’m going to pass the savings onto you! Screw the middleman!
They are now 17 dollars and you no longer have to pay sales tax.

Today was the first day I saw a guy with a URL tattooed on his head. He also had a soccer ball tattooed on there, with died blue hair making the pentagonal patches. After visiting the link, it turns out this is Zack Phillips, the creator of the sport “rollersoccer” which is soccer but on rollerblades.
